In the human body, the gallbladder is small, pear-shaped sack residing under the liver. It is responsible for storing bile produced by the liver. The gallbladder releases bile into the small intestine, where the bile helps break down fats. The digestive system can function somewhat normally without the gallbladder, so it can be removed (for example, when recurrent gallstones develop) with seemingly little effect on the body.

In the WORLD-BODY, the gallbladder encompasses Norway, Great Britain, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland.

Ironically, the ancient peoples whom Caesar called The Gauls supposedly came from this area of the WORLD-BODY. Note how Southern Ireland peaks out behind the liver, like an emerald jewel, the Emerald Isle. Due to the color of bile, the gallbladder is truly green. This part of the WORLD-BODY is a digestive area that, in both function and texture, processes nutrition and information.

The differences between Southern Ireland and that of Northern Ireland, Scotland, England, Wales, and Norway are based on the physiological overlapping of the liver on top of the gallbladder providing a potential organ identity confusion and communication problems in this region of the WORLD-BODY. The overlaying liver adds another persona altogether. The gallbladder's texture in the WORLD-BODY sense, is that areas weather, land topography, and also uniqueness of culture. Bile may be viewed as peat, which is partly decayed, moisture-absorbing plant matter from ancient bogs. It is often used as a form of fuel.

The Gall Bladder Function Energy, depicted here on the World-Body Baby, is one of the most complex meridian patterns. It is the same on both sides of the body, and it traverses the entire body.

The Gall Bladder Function Energy circulates the pelvis from the Liver and Gallbladder to the fourth Lumbar Vertebrae on the left side and on the right from Spleen and Pancreas to the fourth Lumbar Vertebrae. From the Abdomen it travels to the rectum to the opposite side of the buttocks.

In order for the Gallbladder to communicate with the other organs, or even to be originally formed, it had to send communications around the body to understand its function. These are energy communication channels known as meridians, or function energy flow patterns. (For more information on Oriental Meridian energy patterns see lecture section.)

(Note: Only one side of the flow pattern is shown here.)

Looking at the World-Body baby example with the Gall Bladder Function Energy you can see that the meridian information extends down to the lower part of the spine, which is mostly South America on the World-Body map.

The crossing of the two sides occurs on the World-Body map at the Falkland Islands and they pass each other at the Coccyx, at Tierra Del Fuego, (The Land of the Fire, both Argentina and Chile). It now appears that these much disputed Islands areas are divided not only for political reasons, but also for Function Energy circulation reasons.

Now we can understand why the United Kingdom, one part of the Gallbladder Organ, took such an interest in that particularly unique place on the World-Body map known as the Falkland Islands. The United Kingdom seems to be the most active part of the Gallbladder Organ and may be viewed as taking on the function of the Gall Bladder Function Energy by traveling the World-Body and settling in some key areas like Falklands Islands.

According to the ancient Vedic Indians energy system there are vortexes of subtle vital energy centers called Chakras that move through and around the spine. The first Chakra is located at the base of the spine. Traditionally this Chakra has been depicted as red much like the Tierra del Fuego sky.
